TT #764 · Parashas Ki Seitzei · Seventh Aliyah · Passuk 25:11
When men strive together, a man and his brother, and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who strikes him, and she puts out her hand and seizes him by his private parts,
Torah Temimah points to Yerushalmi Bava Kamma 8:3.
TT lemma: אֵשֶׁת הָאֶחָד.
אֵשֶׁת הָאֶחָד – וְלֹא אֵשֶׁת שְׁנַיִם.
English: “The wife of the one” — and not the wife of two.
On the daf / in context: If after the first woman intervened, the wife of the other party also intervened, the second woman is not liable under this verse.
Mi’ut from the singular “the one.”
Only the wife of one of the parties is the subject of this particular liability; a subsequent intervening wife is not covered by the same rule.
