וְנִקְרָ֥א שְׁמ֖וֹ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בֵּ֖ית חֲל֥וּץ הַנָּֽעַל׃

And his name shall be called in Israel “the house of him who had his shoe drawn off.”

בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל – אֲפִלּוּ אִמּוֹ מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל לֹא מְהַנֵּי, אֶלָּא צָרִיךְ אָבִיו וְאִמּוֹ מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל.

English: “In Israel” — even if his mother is an Israelite it does not suffice; both his father and his mother must be Israelites.
