וְשָׂמַחְתָּ֖ בְּחַגֶּ֑ךָ אַתָּ֨ה וּבִנְךָ֤ וּבִתֶּ֙ךָ֙ וְעַבְדְּךָ֣ וַאֲמָתֶ֔ךָ וְהַלֵּוִ֗י וְהַגֵּ֛ר וְהַיָּת֥וֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר בִּשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ׃
And you shall rejoice in your festival, you and your son and your daughter and your manservant and your maidservant and the Levi and the stranger and the orphan and the widow who are within your gates.

Core Text
וְשָׂמַחְתָּ – מִכָּאן לְאָבֵל שֶׁאֵינוֹ נוֹהֵג אֲבֵלוּת בָּרֶגֶל.
English: "And you shall rejoice" — from here we learn that a mourner does not observe the practices of mourning on the festival.
On the daf / in context: The communal obligation of festival joy overrides the individual obligation of mourning.
