וְשָׂמַחְתָּ֖ בְּחַגֶּ֑ךָ אַתָּ֨ה וּבִנְךָ֤ וּבִתֶּ֙ךָ֙ וְעַבְדְּךָ֣ וַאֲמָתֶ֔ךָ וְהַלֵּוִ֗י וְהַגֵּ֛ר וְהַיָּת֥וֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר בִּשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ׃
And you shall rejoice in your festival, you and your son and your daughter and your manservant and your maidservant and the Levi and the stranger and the orphan and the widow who are within your gates.

וְשָׂמַחְתָּ – תָּנוּ רַבָּנַן, וְשָׂמַחְתָּ – לְרַבּוֹת כׇּל מִינֵי שִׂמְחָה לְשִׂמְחָה.
English: "And you shall rejoice" — The Sages taught: "And you shall rejoice"—to include every kind of rejoicing in the obligation of joy.
On the daf / in context: Although the primary expression of festival joy is the eating of shelamim, other forms of rejoicing are also encompassed.
