English: One might have thought that “your children” excludes daughters. Therefore it says “so that they may be multiplied” — it is a blessing.

The Gemara uses this passuk in a sugya (proof, illustration, or dispute). Named as one of R' Yishmael’s 13 or R' Eliezer’s 32 only when that move is explicit.
The blessing of increase is not read stingily; daughters are not shut out of “that your days multiply.”
