וְאִ֨ישׁ אִ֜ישׁ מִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וּמִן־הַגֵּר֙ הַגָּ֣ר בְּתוֹכָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצ֜וּד צֵ֥יד חַיָּ֛ה אוֹ־ע֖וֹף אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵאָכֵ֑ל וְשָׁפַךְ֙ אֶת־דָּמ֔וֹ וְכִסָּ֖הוּ בֶּעָפָֽר׃

ושפך וכסהו — במה ששפך בו יכסה, שלא יכסה ברגל, כדי שלא יהיו מצות בזויות עליו.
English: “He shall pour and cover” — cover with the same hand/tool used for pouring, not with the foot, so that mitzvot not be treated with contempt.
