English: Rabbi Chiyya bar Nachmani, a student of Rabbi Yishmael, said in the name of Rabbi Yishmael: There is no need for a separate derivation. The Torah says, “And you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land that He has given you,” and here it says, “And I will give you the tablets of stone, the Torah and the commandment.” Just as a gift described with “giving” requires a blessing, so the giving of Torah requires a blessing.
