Core Text — Berachos 9a

English: Rabbi Akiva said: But it already says “in haste” — until the time of haste. If so, why does Scripture say “at night”? One might think it is eaten like [other] kodashim by day — therefore it says “at night”: it is eaten at night, and not by day.

Type of Learning

Time-boundary: chipazon sets the outer limit; “at night” excludes daytime eating.

What Is Learned

Eating continues until the hour of departure-haste, but only at night, not by day.
