TT #645 · Parashas Ki Seitzei · Seventh Aliyah · Passuk 25:04
You shall not muzzle an ox while it is threshing.
Torah Temimah points to Bava Metzia 89a / Rashi.
TT lemma: בְּדִישׁוֹ.
Sefaria — Bava Metzia 89a / Rashi
English: A cow that threshes for Temple property may not eat of the vetch, for Scripture says ‘You shall not muzzle an ox while it is threshing’ – its threshing that belongs to you, and not the threshing that belongs to the Temple.
Limiting derash on the possessive ‘its threshing’ (Bavli).
The prohibition against muzzling (and the corresponding right to eat) applies only to ordinary produce, not to produce that has been consecrated to the Temple.
