TT #642 · Parashas Ki Seitzei · Seventh Aliyah · Passuk 25:04
You shall not muzzle an ox while it is threshing.
Torah Temimah points to Bava Metzia 89a.
TT lemma: בְּדִישׁוֹ.
English: Our Rabbis taught: ‘Threshing’ – just as threshing is distinctive in that it is performed at the time of completion of the work and the worker may eat of it, this excludes one who weeds among garlic and onions, since that is not the completion of the work and the worker may not eat of it.
Distinctive feature of threshing (Bavli).
A worker may eat from the produce only when the work being done is the final processing stage. Intermediate tasks such as weeding do not confer the right.
