English: ‘But if a man hates his fellow’ – this is the intentional murderer.
Derash distinguishing the intentional case (Bavli) — prior hatred marks the act as deliberate.
When the killer had prior hatred and lay in wait, the act is intentional murder and the city of refuge does not protect him.
