English: ‘They listen to soothsayers and diviners’ – that is their way.
Derash characterizing the nations (Sifrei) — their entire approach to knowledge of the future is through forbidden arts.
The nations being dispossessed characteristically turn to soothsayers and diviners; this is the path from which Yisrael is to be distinguished.
