The kohanim, the Leviim, the entire tribe of Levi, shall have no portion or inheritance with Yisrael; they shall eat the fire-offerings of the Eternal and His inheritance.

English: ‘And His inheritance they shall eat’ – for the Holy One, Blessed be He, is their inheritance.
Derash on the spiritual inheritance (Sifrei) — the verse elevates the relationship of Levi beyond material gifts to a direct bond with Hashem.
Hashem Himself is the inheritance of the tribe of Levi. Their material support is an expression of that unique relationship.
