You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain or of your wine or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, or any of your vows that you vow, or your freewill-offerings, or the contribution of your hand.
English: “And your freewill-offerings” — these are the todah and the shelamim. R’ Shimon said: What does this come to teach us? If for one who eats outside the wall, it is a kal va-chomer from the lighter ma’aser. Therefore the verse comes only for one who eats of the todah and shelamim before the sprinkling, that he incurs lashes.
