English: The Sages taught: “You shall place” (vesamtem) — a perfect remedy (sam tam). Torah is compared to a life-giving drug. The Holy One said to Israel: My children, I created the evil inclination and I created Torah as its spice; if you occupy yourselves with Torah, you are not delivered into its hand.
