You must not bring an abhorrent thing into your house, or you will be proscribed like it; you must reject it as abominable and abhorrent, for it is proscribed.
אל ביתך. אין משכירין בתי דירה לעובדי כוכבים בארץ ישראל מפני שמכניסין לתוכן עבודת כוכבים, וכתיב ולא תביא תועבה אל ביתך
English: “To your house”: dwelling houses are not rented to non-Jews in the Land of Israel because they bring idols into them, as it is written, “You shall not bring an abomination into your house.”
