Type of Learning

Homiletic derivation from the juxtaposition of “Torah” and “dies in a tent.”

What Is Learned

True acquisition and retention of Torah requires total self-dedication, metaphorically “killing oneself” over it (i.e., extreme effort and self-sacrifice).
