Core Text

English: It is taught: A young bull was in the general rule; why was it singled out? To compare to it: just as a young bull is distinctive in that it comes as a vow or freewill offering, so whatever comes as a vow or freewill needs nesachim; the chatas goats that do not come as vow or freewill do not need nesachim.

Type of Learning

Hekesh from the young bull.

What Is Learned

Festival chatas goats are excluded from nesachim by this comparison.
