אֵ֚לֶּה שְׁמ֣וֹת הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַ֥ח מֹשֶׁ֖ה לָת֣וּר אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּקְרָ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה לְהוֹשֵׁ֥עַ בִּן־נ֖וּן יְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃

These are the names of the men whom Moshe sent to scout the land; and Moshe called Hoshea the son of Nun Yehoshua.

יְהוֹשֻׁעַ כְּבָר בִּקֵּשׁ מֹשֶׁה עָלָיו רַחֲמִים, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר: ״וַיִּקְרָא מֹשֶׁה לְהוֹשֵׁעַ בִּן נוּן יְהוֹשֻׁעַ״, יָהּ יוֹשִׁיעֲךָ מֵעֲצַת מְרַגְּלִים.

English: For Yehoshua, Moshe had already sought mercy, as it is said: “And Moshe called Hoshea son of Nun Yehoshua” — Yah will save you from the counsel of the spies.
