וְאִם־מָ֥ךְ הוּא֙ מֵֽעֶרְכֶּ֔ךָ וְהֶֽעֱמִידוֹ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וְהֶעֱרִ֥יךְ אֹת֛וֹ הַכֹּהֵ֖ן עַל־פִּ֣י אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּשִּׂ֣יג יַ֣ד הַנֹּדֵ֑ר יַעֲרִיכֶ֖נּוּ הַכֹּהֵֽן׃

Torah Temimah: “he shall stand him” excludes a moribund person (goses).
Core Text
“וְהֶעֱמִידוֹ” — לְהוֹצִיא אֶת הַגּוֹסֵס. כָּל שֶׁיֶּשְׁנוֹ בְּהַעֲמָדָה יֶשְׁנוֹ בְּהַעֲרָכָה, וְכָל שֶׁאֵינוֹ בְּהַעֲמָדָה אֵינוֹ בְּהַעֲרָכָה.
English: “He shall stand him” excludes the moribund. Whoever can be stood is subject to valuation; whoever cannot is not.
