The Complete Passuk

Torah Temimah cites Bava Basra 91b: storehouses full of old and threshing-floors full of new.

Core Text

English: “And you shall clear out the old to make way for the new” — the storehouses were full of old and the threshing-floors full of new.

Abundance derasha — overflow requiring clearance.

Storage is already full of excellent old produce when the new harvest arrives; one must move the old simply to make room.
