English: Might honor of father and mother override Shabbos? Scripture says “his mother and his father you shall fear and My Sabbaths you shall keep — I am Hashem”; all of you are obligated in My honor.
Shabbos is not deferred for parental honor
The juxtaposition teaches that one may not violate Shabbos at a parent’s command. Hashem’s honor takes precedence; both parent and child are bound by it.
