וְאִ֨ישׁ אִ֜ישׁ מִבְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וּמִן־הַגֵּר֙ הַגָּ֣ר בְּתוֹכָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצ֜וּד צֵ֥יד חַיָּ֛ה אוֹ־ע֖וֹף אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵאָכֵ֑ל וְשָׁפַךְ֙ אֶת־דָּמ֔וֹ וְכִסָּ֖הוּ בֶּעָפָֽר׃

חיה או עוף — כסוי הדם נוהג בחולין ולא במוקדשין; מה חיה אינו קדוש אף עוף אינו קדוש.
English: “Wild animal or bird” — kisui ha-dam applies to chullin, not to consecrated animals; just as a chayah is not sacred, so the bird intended here is not sacred.
