וְכִפֶּ֨ר הַכֹּהֵ֜ן אֲשֶׁר־יִמְשַׁ֣ח אֹת֗וֹ וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר יְמַלֵּא֙ אֶת־יָד֔וֹ לְכַהֵ֖ן תַּ֣חַת אָבִ֑יו וְלָבַ֛שׁ אֶת־בִּגְדֵ֥י הַבָּ֖ד בִּגְדֵ֥י הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

אשר ימשח אותו ואשר ימלא את ידו — מכל מקום: בין נתרבה שבעה ונמשח יום אחד, בין נתרבה יום אחד ונמשח שבעה.
English: “Whom he shall anoint… and whose hand he shall fill” — in any combination of the seven-day investiture and anointing, the appointment is valid.
