רַבִּי יוֹסֵי בְּרַבִּי חֲנִינָא רָמֵי: כְּתִיב ״בְּטַבְּעֹת הָאָרֹן יִהְיוּ הַבַּדִּים לֹא יָסֻרוּ מִמֶּנּוּ״, וּכְתִיב ״וְהוּבָא אֶת בַּדָּיו בַּטַּבָּעֹת״ — הָא כֵּיצַד? מִתְפָּרְקִין וְאֵין נִשְׁמָטִין. תַּנְיָא נָמֵי הָכִי: ״בְּטַבְּעֹת הָאָרֹן יִהְיוּ הַבַּדִּים״ — יָכוֹל לֹא יְהוּ זָזִין מִמְּקוֹמָן? תַּלְמוּד לוֹמַר ״וְהוּבָא אֶת בַּדָּיו בַּטַּבָּעֹת״. אִי ״וְהוּבָא אֶת בַּדָּיו״, יָכוֹל יְהוּ נִכְנָסִין וְיוֹצְאִין? תַּלְמוּד לוֹמַר ״בְּטַבְּעֹת הָאָרֹן יִהְיוּ הַבַּדִּים״ — הָא כֵּיצַד? מִתְפָּרְקִין וְאֵין נִשְׁמָטִין.

English: Rabbi Yosei son of Rabbi Chanina reconciles “the poles shall be in the rings and shall not be removed from it” with “the poles shall be brought into the rings”: they may be loosened and moved within the rings, but they may not fall out. The accompanying baraisa gives the same reconciliation.
