Core Text of Chazal

Core Text — Gittin 48a

English: It was taught: “They shall not dwell in your land, lest they cause you to sin against Me” might have been understood to include an idolater who has accepted the prohibition against idolatry. The verse “You shall not hand a slave over to his master; he shall dwell with you” teaches that such a person may dwell among Israel.
