והיה כי יאמרו אליכם בניכם מה העבודה הזאת לכם — בשורה רעה נתבשרו ישראל באותה שעה, שעתידה תורה שתשתכח מישראל. ויש אומרים: בשורה טובה נתבשרו, שעתידים לראות בנים ובני בנים להם.
English: The tradition records two readings: the verse brought a warning about Torah being forgotten, or a good tidings that they would have children and grandchildren.
