מִמַּשְׁמַע שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר ״לְכָל נֶפֶשׁ״, שׁוֹמֵעַ אֲנִי אֲפִילּוּ נֶפֶשׁ בְּהֵמָה בַּמַּשְׁמָע… תַּלְמוּד לוֹמַר ״לָכֶם״ — לָכֶם וְלֹא לְעוֹבְדֵי כּוֹכָבִים, לָכֶם וְלֹא לִכְלָבִים.

English: From the implication of “for every person,” I might think even the life of an animal is included… Scripture says “for you” — for you and not for idolaters, for you and not for dogs.
