Sefaria — Exodus 12:9
Sefaria — Torah Temimah on Exodus 12:9
Sefaria — Pesachim 41a
E-Daf — Pesachim 41a
English: [The doubled wording] is needed for that which was taught: If one cooked it and afterward roasted it, or roasted it and afterward cooked it — one is liable.
Derash of the doubled בָּשֵׁל מְבֻשָּׁל: liability even when cooking is combined with roasting.
Cooking before or after roasting still violates the ban; the meat must be fire-roasted only, from the raw state.
