Core Text of Chazal

Core Text

English: “And I Myself will bring you up” — this teaches that when Yisrael went up from Egypt, the Shechinah went up with them.

On the daf / in context: Parallel to the descent: the Shechinah remains with the people for the ascent as well.

Type of Learning

Derash on the verse (Mekhilta) — not a formal named middah of the 13.

What Is Learned

The Shechinah that accompanies Yisrael into exile also accompanies them in the redemption.
