English of Source Text: The episode continues with Yosef turning away to weep and then taking Shimon and binding him before the brothers' eyes. The Midrash, as reflected in Rashi's citation, explains that the binding was only before their eyes; after they departed, Yosef released Shimon and gave him food and drink.
