וַיַּ֣רְא אֲדֹנָ֔יו כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה אִתּ֑וֹ וְכֹל֙ אֲשֶׁר־ה֣וּא עֹשֶׂ֔ה יְהֹוָ֖ה מַצְלִ֥יחַ בְּיָדֽוֹ׃

And when his master saw that GOD was with him and that GOD lent success to everything he undertook,

וַיַּרְא אֲדֹנָיו כִּי ה׳ אִתּוֹ — כׇּל מַה שֶּׁהָיָה עוֹשֶׂה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַצְלִיחַ בְּיָדוֹ.

English: “And his master saw that Hashem was with him” — whatever he did, the Holy One made successful in his hand.

In context: Success in ordinary household work is itself the visible sign of divine accompaniment.

Derash on the verse (Bereshis Rabbah) — not a formal named middah of the 13. Prosperity is read as evidence of Hashem’s presence.

Potiphar inferred Heaven’s favor from the consistent success of Yosef’s work.
