Core Text of Chazal
Core Text
English: “I seek my brothers” — from here, that one who seeks his brothers merits that angels meet him.
In context: Yosef’s stated purpose is brotherhood; the midrash ties the angelic encounter to that intent.
Type of Learning
Derash on the verse (Yalkut) — not a formal named middah of the 13. Seeking brothers is the merit that draws guidance.
What Is Learned
The search for one’s brothers is itself a path on which Heaven sends guides.
