Source Citation

Rashi on Bereishis 24:58 / Bereshit Rabbah (classical source on this passuk; not listed as a numbered Torah Temimah unit here).

Lemma / focus: ותאמר אלך.

Sefaria

Core Text of Chazal

Core Text
ותאמר אלך. מֵעַצְמִי, וְאַף אִם אֵינְכֶם רוֹצִים:

English: Of my own accord, even if you do not consent.

On the daf / in context: Rivkah’s “I will go” is read as independent consent, not dependent on the family’s preference.

Type of Learning

Derash on the verse (Rashi / midrash) — not a formal named middah of the 13: the short answer is expanded as free, self-directed consent.

What Is Learned

Rivkah said “I will go” of her own accord, even if the family did not wish it; her consent stands on its own.
