TT lemma: עם החמור.
English: “With the donkey.” With one who is like a donkey—from here [we learn] that kiddushin does not take effect with a Canaanite maidservant.
Derash on the verse (Bavli sugya) — not a formal named middah of the 13. The phrase supplies a source for the invalidity of kiddushin with a Canaanite slave-woman.
Kiddushin does not take effect with a Canaanite maidservant; she is “like a donkey” according to the verse.
