\ldots you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under the heavens; you shall not forget.

לֹא תִּשְׁכָּח – זוֹ מִצְוַת עֲשֵׂה שֶׁל זְכִירָה; תִּמְחֶה – זוֹ מִצְוַת עֲשֵׂה שֶׁל מְחִיָּה.
English: “You shall not forget” — this is the positive commandment of remembrance; “you shall blot out” — this is the positive commandment of eradication.
On the daf / in context: Classical enumerators of the mitzvos (and the midrashic tradition) treat the Amalek pericope as containing two distinct positive commandments: the ongoing duty to remember what Amalek did, and the duty (when the conditions of the verse are met) to blot out Amalek’s memory. The closing words “lo tishkach” reinforce that the remembrance itself is a perpetual obligation.
