TT #776 · Parashas Ki Seitzei · Seventh Aliyah · Passuk 25:14
You shall not have in your house two kinds of measures, a large and a small.
Torah Temimah points to Bava Batra 89a.
English: “You shall not have in your house” — because of the two kinds of ephah; but a complete and just ephah you shall have.
On the daf / in context: The verse both prohibits the dishonest pair and requires the possession of honest measures.
Derash pairing the prohibition with the positive requirement.
One must possess honest, complete measures and must not possess dishonest ones.
