כִּי־יֵשְׁב֨וּ אַחִ֜ים יַחְדָּ֗ו וּמֵ֨ת אַחַ֤ד מֵהֶם֙ וּבֵ֣ן אֵֽין־ל֔וֹ לֹֽא־תִהְיֶ֧ה אֵֽשֶׁת־הַמֵּ֛ת הַח֖וּצָה לְאִ֣ישׁ זָ֑ר יְבָמָהּ֙ יָבֹ֣א עָלֶ֔יהָ וּלְקָחָ֥הּ ל֛וֹ לְאִשָּׁ֖ה וְיִבְּמָֽהּ׃

When brothers dwell together and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead shall not be outside to a strange man; her husband’s brother shall come upon her and take her to himself as a wife and perform the duty of a husband’s brother for her.

Core Text of Chazal

וּבֵן אֵין לוֹ – אֵין לוֹ בֵּן, אֲבָל יֵשׁ לוֹ בַּת, אוֹ בֶּן הַבֵּן, אוֹ בַּת הַבֵּן, אוֹ בֶּן הַבַּת, אוֹ בַּת הַבַּת – אֵין זֶה יָבָם.

English: “And he has no son” — if he has no son, but he has a daughter, or a son’s son, or a son’s daughter, or a daughter’s son, or a daughter’s daughter, there is no yibbum.

On the daf / in context: Any offspring in the direct line, male or female, descending or through daughters, releases the widow from the bond of yibbum.
