וְהִנֵּה־ה֡וּא שָׂם֩ עֲלִילֹ֨ת דְּבָרִ֜ים לֵאמֹ֗ר לֹֽא־מָצָ֤אתִי לְבִתְּךָ֙ בְּתוּלִ֔ים וְאֵ֖לֶּה בְּתוּלֵ֣י בִתִּ֑י וּפָֽרְשׂוּ֙ הַשִּׂמְלָ֔ה לִפְנֵ֖י זִקְנֵ֥י הָעִֽיר׃
And behold, he has made up charges, saying: “I did not find in your daughter the signs of virginity.” But these are the signs of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city.

וּפָרְשׂוּ הַשִּׂמְלָה – מְלַמֵּד שֶׁמַּרְאִין אֶת הַבְּתוּלִים בִּפְנֵי בֵּית דִּין.
English: “And they shall spread the garment” — this teaches that they display the evidence of virginity before the court.
