A prophet I will raise up for them from among their brethren, like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.

Lemma: וְנָתַתִּי דְבָרַי בְּפִיו.
English: ‘And I will put My words in his mouth’ – that he shall speak as My agent.
Derash on the nature of prophetic speech (Sifrei) — the words are Hashem’s, placed in the prophet’s mouth.
True prophecy consists of Hashem placing His words in the mouth of the prophet, who then speaks them to the people.
