רֵאשִׁ֨ית דְּגָֽנְךָ֜ תִּֽירֹשְׁךָ֣ וְיִצְהָרֶ֗ךָ וְרֵאשִׁ֛ית גֵּ֥ז צֹאנְךָ֖ תִּתֶּן־לּֽוֹ׃

The first of your grain, your wine, and your oil, and the first of the fleece of your flock, you shall give to him.

Torah Temimah points to Sifrei Devarim 166.

TT lemma: תִּירֹשְׁךָ וְיִצְהָרֶךָ.

Core Text

תִּירֹשְׁךָ וְיִצְהָרֶךָ – מִשֶּׁיִּכָּנְסוּ לִרְשׁוּתְךָ.

English: ‘Your wine and your oil’ – once they have entered your domain.

On the daf / in context: Ownership or control triggers the obligation.

Derash on acquisition (Sifrei) — the produce must be in the owner’s possession.

The first portion of wine and oil is separated after the produce has come into the owner’s possession.
