English: “Only if you hearken to the voice of Hashem your God” — from here they said: If a person hearkens a little, he is caused to hear much; if a person hearkens to words of Torah, he is caused to hear the words of the Sages. “To observe to do this entire commandment” — that a light commandment should be as beloved to you as a weighty commandment.
Derash on the conditional particle (Sifrei) — the blessing is not automatic.
The economic blessings promised in this section are contingent on diligent obedience to the voice of Hashem.
