וְזֶה֮ דְּבַ֣ר הַשְּׁמִטָּה֒ שָׁמ֗וֹט כׇּל־בַּ֙עַל֙ מַשֵּׁ֣ה יָד֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר יַשֶּׁ֖ה בְּרֵעֵ֑הוּ לֹֽא־יִגֹּ֤שׂ אֶת־רֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ וְאֶת־אָחִ֔יו כִּֽי־קָרָ֥א שְׁמִטָּ֖ה לַיהֹוָֽה׃

And this is the manner of the release: every creditor shall release that which he has lent to his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother, because the release of Hashem has been proclaimed.

הַשְּׁמִטָּה שָׁמוֹט – תַּנְיָא, רַבִּי אוֹמֵר, בִּשְׁתֵּי שְׁמִטּוֹת הַכָּתוּב מְדַבֵּר, בִּשְׁמִיטַּת קַרְקַע וּבִשְׁמִיטַּת כְּסָפִים; בִּזְמַן שֶׁאַתָּה מְשַׁמֵּט קַרְקַע אַתָּה מְשַׁמֵּט כְּסָפִים, וּבִזְמַן שֶׁאֵין אַתָּה מְשַׁמֵּט קַרְקַע אֵין אַתָּה מְשַׁמֵּט כְּסָפִים.

English: "The release, release" — It was taught: Rabbi says: The verse speaks of two releases—the release of land and the release of money. When you release the land you release money; when you do not release the land you do not release money.
