Core Text

English: “All” — to include even that which has already been tithed; this applies only to permitted produce, but not to forbidden produce.

On the daf / in context: If permitted produce that had already been tithed is replanted and grows anew, the new growth must be tithed again; forbidden seed does not create a new obligation in the same way.

Type of Learning

Derash on the verse (Yerushalmi) — re-tithing of previously tithed produce that is replanted.

What Is Learned

Produce that has already been tithed, if replanted and grown again, must be tithed once more (when it is of a permitted species).
