כִּ֣י עַ֤ם קָדוֹשׁ֙ אַתָּ֔ה לַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ וּבְךָ֞ בָּחַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה לִֽהְיוֹת֩ לוֹ֙ לְעַ֣ם סְגֻלָּ֔ה מִכֹּל֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָֽה׃

For you are a holy people to Hashem your God, and Hashem has chosen you to be for Him a treasured people from all the peoples that are on the face of the earth.

כִּי עַם קָדוֹשׁ אַתָּה – אָמַר רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר, נָשִׁים חַיָּבוֹת בְּקָרְחָה, מַאי טַעְמָא, כִּי עַם קָדוֹשׁ אַתָּה, אֶחָד אֲנָשִׁים וְאֶחָד נָשִׁים.

English: “For you are a holy people” — Rabbi Elazar said: Women are obligated in the prohibition of making baldness. What is the reason? “For you are a holy people” — both men and women.
