And all its spoil you shall gather into the midst of its open square and burn with fire the city and all its spoil completely for Hashem your God, and it shall be a mound forever; it shall not be rebuilt.
English: “And all its spoil” — Said Rav Chisda: Deposits belonging to the people of other towns that are deposited with the people of the wayward city, even though they accepted responsibility for them, are permitted, for they are not “its spoil.”
