מֵאֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽעַמִּ֗ים אֲשֶׁר֙ סְבִיבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם הַקְּרֹבִ֣ים אֵלֶ֔יךָ א֖וֹ הָרְחֹקִ֣ים מִמֶּ֑ךָּ מִקְצֵ֥ה הָאָ֖רֶץ וְעַד־קְצֵ֥ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃
From the gods of the peoples that are around you, the near ones to you or the far ones from you, from the end of the earth to the end of the earth.

מִקְצֵה הָאָרֶץ וְעַד קְצֵה הָאָרֶץ – אֵלּוּ חַמָּה וּלְבָנָה.
English: “From the end of the earth to the end of the earth” — these are the sun and the moon.
On the daf / in context: Even if the mesis urges the worship of the sun and the moon, which traverse the entire sky, the prohibition still applies.
