I prayed to GOD and said, “O my Sovereign GOD, do not annihilate Your very own people, whom You redeemed in Your majesty and whom You freed from Egypt with a mighty hand.

TT lemma: ואתפלל וגו'.
English: R’ Chanina said: Anyone who lengthens his prayer — his prayer does not return empty. Whence? From Moshe, as it is said, “I prayed to Hashem,” and afterward, “Hashem listened to me also that time.”
Custom (lengthening prayer)
Extended tefillah after the model of Moshe is a reason for being answered; “also that time” marks undeserved acceptance tied to that length.
