Remember, never forget, how you provoked the ETERNAL your God to anger in the wilderness: from the day that you left the land of Egypt until you reached this place, you have continued defiant toward GOD.

English: It was taught: “Remember, do not forget.” If “remember” could mean only in the heart, “do not forget” already states that. How then do I fulfill “remember”? That you repeat it with your mouth. Torat Kohanim applies the same pattern to several other “remember” verses: verbal rehearsal is intended, not merely silent remembrance.
