Core Text

English: If one was sprinkling and the sprinkling landed on his mouth, he has not [validly] sprinkled, as it is written “and he shall purify him on the seventh day and he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water.”

Type of Learning

Exclusion of invalid landing from the purification sequence.

What Is Learned

The water of purification must land on the body in the proper way; landing in the mouth does not count.
